Hey everyone, I had just bought my first 914. It's a 1970 1.7L. I recently got interested into 914's and so I did what was necessary! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
I need to drop the engine, clean it, and install the fuel injection. There's not too much rust, just some in the "normal" 914 spots. I got mine for $500 and was wondering if it was a good buy? I got some pictures of it. Attached thumbnail(s)

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/welcome.png) Put the batery back where it belongs and use an Optima or any Jell cell and you won't have to worry about the acid gasing out and getting between the trunk lid skin and internal bracing and rusting out the trunk lid not to mention the trunk gaskets usually leak and the water mixed with the seeping acid from the battery will speed up the rust in the trunk floor.
