I'm considering replacing the Triad exhaust system which came with the car. What is considered the best all around system by most? My preference is a single tip product (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

I really don't think its the Triad exhaust, but maybe its leaks around the flanges to head. There are copper gaskets that love to leak and cause poping on decel as air gets sucked in and causes the noise.
Check the carb too, sounds like a single carb? I have never been happy with one of those as the long steel runners cause all kinds of running/tuning problems. |

I have never been happy with one of those as the long steel runners cause all kinds of running/tuning problems. Dual carbs and the copper gaskets replaced last week as well. The mechanic showed me the gasket under the left carb - it was deformed and streched out...no way it provided a seal. I was hoping that was the "only" problem but evidently not. |
