BTW, here's Fordahl at the last time he ran at the Nats in Leeds car.....2008. He gave up too much on day one. T 1 123 John Timothy Thomas 1971 Datsun 240Z Hoosier Mississippi R 54.608(1) 50.351 48.867 90.748 [23] Tampa, FL Zee Racing MW 42.354 41.944 *41.881 T 2 128 Greg T Fordahl 1971 Porsche 914 Hoosier Northwest R 53.029 50.796 56.747(3) 92.083 [28] Bremerton, WA Fordahl Motorsports/ Hoosier NP 46.484(1) 42.321 *41.287 (1.335) Day two shows how competitive the the car is. Thomas (in the same car)beat "Toby" both days in 2009. As usual Grant's information is garbage spread freely over the net. Here's some "garbage" fer yah JP! Talking about flat out WWF smack down of FP 914 by the big German sedan. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/slap.gif) Hey even one of our rookies in the Subie are breathing down Parade winning 914's back! Time for to sell that old underpowered FP jalopy or move to XP and put a subie in it! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/popcorn[1].gif) Take this and smoke it. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smoke.gif) Class standings for FP [21 Cars] (9/9/2010 2:25:39 PM) --------------------------------------------------------- T 1 193 Toby Larsson 1998 BMW 328is Org Hoosier 57.536 57.484 61.756(2) 57.484 --------------------------------------------------------- T 2 123 John Thomas 1971 Datsun 240Z Blu Hoosier 58.823 57.892 58.269 57.892 (0.408) --------------------------------------------------------- T 3 9 Jonathan Jackson 1973 Porsche 914-6 Ylw Hoosier 60.960 59.984 58.891 58.891 (0.999) --------------------------------------------------------- T 4 93 Aaron Goldsmith 1998 BMW 3 Series Org Hoosier 61.900 61.288(1) 59.234 59.234 (0.343) --------------------------------------------------------- T 5 28 Leeds Gulick 1971 Porsche 914-6 Wht Hoosier 60.797 59.322 69.291(1) 59.322 (0.088) --------------------------------------------------------- T 6 128 Greg Fordahl 1971 Porsche 914 Wht Hoosier 59.451 67.244(3) 60.479(1) 59.451 (0.129) --------------------------------------------------------- 7 20 Josh Salvage 2005 Subaru STI Blk Hoosier 60.425 60.393 59.455 59.455 (0.004) --------------------------------------------------------- ...Man after seeing how bad Toby beat everyone I'm wondering if I made the right decision not to go. I thought all podium spots behind him would at least be within a second. Ex national champs are 2 seconds off the pace. WOw! This post has been edited by grantsfo: Sep 9 2010, 02:00 PM |

So enough with kart and boxster talk. Any fast 914s going to 2011 solo Nats? Now is the time to get car ready.
I think Brit is only guy I have seen who is getting serious about building a real contender if he follows through with the subie build. |

The car broke on day one with bad brakes. They had not been touched in ten years and the seals blew. This whole year it looked like the car was getting slower and slower and now I know why. Next year it may be back and ready. On the same note, Leeds boxster may finally be finished and he said once it is the 914 is going on the shelf (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) |
