Wolfgang, I just called AAA & this 914-6 is currently registered in CA on a PNO (Planned Non-Operation) since 2009, and was first registered under this plate in CA in 1977, and it does go to a 1970 Porsche, but the part of the DMV computer record that AAA can access does not indicate the model type at all (not even 914 - let alone 4 or 6). You or he would have to contact DMV for other details & prior registration info. directly from Calif. DMV. That leaves the question on 1970-77 as to where & what model it was. I'll send you another quick PM on what they said about your own "new" -6. |
