what are my options to replace my rear trans mounts? my old ones are shot. it looks like the oem ones are nla. do the 911 ones need to be modified to make work? what about the WEVO 914 Semi-Solid Engine Mount, BLUE PILLOWS. are they worth the extra dough? are the blue pillows direct bolt ins?

The 911 sport motor mounts can be used as a direct replacement for the 914 transmission mounts. Depending on your car you might have to oval out the mounting holes just a tiny bit.
Just make sure you reuse all of the hardware and washers, including the large cup-washer! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/shades.gif) |

The 911 sport motor mounts can be used as a direct replacement for the 914 transmission mounts. Depending on your car you might have to oval out the mounting holes just a tiny bit. Just make sure you reuse all of the hardware and washers, including the large cup-washer! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/shades.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) very slight ovaling of the mounting holes, check how much before egging out.. ![]() above is 911 sport motor mount.. ![]() above is the factory 914 transmission mount. HTF but there is a pair of NOS on ebay at $99.99 each under search term Porsche 914 NOS. both have rubber involved but the 911 style is stiffer and does not hang as far as the 914 factory Version.. |
