It's getting close to 5 months now since I sent my money for this group buy and I'm starting to get annoyed as the lack of product and information really drags on and on.
I sent Shoe a PM suggesting that he should not have to be an apologist for AA and that perhaps it was time for George to chime in... I never received a reply so I'm going public with my frustration. Am I the only one feeling a tad pissed about the delays and the distinct lack of input from George? What's actually happening? How long is it going to be till we get these items? Let the flaming begin, Phil |

I had let Shoe handle this and did not want to have two different people giving information.
The deal was 100 sets for the price so that we could do a run but that never happened. We then opened it to the other varieties usa and italian that we already had in stock. STILL did not get the 100 sets. I purposely had Shoe hold the money as I did not want to take anyone's money until I had product ready to ship. I funded the production for the required lenses out of my pocket (had to run 500 sets) hoping that I would get to the 100 sets we needed so kept the buy open. Finally the lenses were ready to ship. They are now being picked up by our customs agent to be here in February. Shoe sent money in the last part of December but not all of it we are still missing about 1000 and so far have had one bounced check. The usa and the italian have been sent out already the euros when they arrive. I am checking on air freight for 100 sets as we have many more sets sold at our regular retail so it may be possible to cover the freight costs. That is it in a nutshell. The deal again was 100 sets and then start production for the price. That NEVER happened, I funded it myself only received the money AFTER the lenses were done and ready to ship, am still owed just over 1000 and one of you bounced a check It's getting close to 5 months now since I sent my money for this group buy and I'm starting to get annoyed as the lack of product and information really drags on and on. am still owed just over 1000 and one of you bounced a check Present. When I write a check I exect it to be cashed in a timely manner. I have a business to run and sometimes cash flow gets tight. I think MOST business owners can understand that. I have had to back out on a deal with Mikey for his engine seals for the same reason. Had my check been cashed 5 months ago when it was written it would have gone through without a doubt. I called myself out for you George because I can admit to my faults and failings. Humbleness, honesty and apologies.............try it sometime Your dedication and love for these cars is ackowledged and appreciated by most if not all here, but time and time again, your arrogance, lack of businessmanship and lack of ethics has shown through. I have been buying all of my metal from another vendor because I GET IT ON TIME, I get what I orderd, I don;t get a surprise bill, and I get a discount due to the amount I buy. I deal with people who care about their buyers more than they care about their persona and ego. Eric put it perfectly when he said he would like to like you. I would like to like you, BUT at the MUSR I never even spoke to you. I had seen who you were and wanted nothing to do with it. Your efforts to undermine the guys on this board , and others in this industry is simply abhorrent, and instead of backing down and dissapearing you continue to stir shit up on this board OUR board. Stop and think about the disdain many here have for your business, think about how your posts almost always go this way, think about how YOUR 914 site is a dead zone. Now ask yourself why. Sometimes when you think everyone else is an issue.....the issue is really YOU Sincerely, Scott |

I usually do not want to get involved in things that are not positive, but I think I'll make an exception here. It seems as if your case, George would be in a damned if he does and damned if he doesn't per your logic about the check. If he had cashed the check, you would have bitched about him having your money and not delivering the product. Otherwise, you would have just bitched about him not having the check. The real problem is the delay in delivery, and your lack of keeping up with your checking account. Neither should be grounds for trashing anyone, as mistakes and misunderstandings happen. In this case, I personally would have preferred to have kept my money in my checking account until the items arrived. I remember sometime ago when someone on this board complained about AA or someone else cashing checks before parts were ready to ship.
Regarding not talking to George at MUSR, that was your loss. George had a beautiful car, and took lots of time to share it along with some good stories about 914's to all who were interested. I also saw George under two different cars making repairs for other people. Others also helped repair cars, but George was there when he could help. On the second day, I and about 6 others ended up with George at the Fontana Lodge for lunch. Guess who bought lunch for all? George. Thanks George. You guys need to grow up and stop all the bitching. If you don't like buying stuff from AA, "Just say no." If George posts something like the new top bumper covers, let it go. You make more noise about this than the original post. If you bitch about small items like this from AA, why not do the same for all the others like Mikey914 and Eric Shea. (By the way, I like both of these vendors and have done business with them also) These two just come to mind as member vendors who occasionally post in the garage for new items. I don't routinely read the classifieds, so I appreciate a quick heads up on items like the new bumper tops, Mickey's new seals, Eric's new calibers, etc. I am sure that more people benefit from these posts, including Georges, than are offended by them. If you have personal problems with the service with AA, or others, just call them and handle it. Almost all the bitches I see here are attributed to poor communication on both sides. If your check hasn't been cashed, find out why. If your parts are not delivered, find out why. If you can get the parts somewhere else and you want to, such as your sheet metal parts- do so. Once all avenues of inquiry have been used, then you may have a reason to bitch publicly. However, I still think the public complaints should be limited to facts about poor service or parts. Then, they provide a means of notifying other people about the quality of the vendor. Personal attacks are unwanted and unproductive. Hope I haven't offended anyone.
