Why the huge price gap?

The amount of labor to fabricate each system is directly reflected in the price.

Kerry Hunter Headers have no stub pipes, which makes installation a bit tougher. They also have the smallest diameter tubes.

The Triad/ERH header has simple/cheap stub pipes that don't enhance the port flow much and are a bit difficult to fit IMO.

The Tangerine Header design is by far the most complex, requiring a lot of welding, but it achieves higher power output, substantially better ground clearance, and better sound. Just to name a few features. Since it is already the most expensive I am trying to make it the best in all other categories.
I will be testing generic (less expensive) mufflers soon to find a lower cost alternative without losing the power advantage, and still keep the sound levels reasonable.

I have no direct experience with the Finch design, but I know he was one of the top guys in E-Prod SCCA National racing some years back.

Sean, my stub pipes are stainless, but the header is mild steel. All stainless would make the system price totally prohibitive for all but the wealthiest of 914 owners.
