I think this is my first post over here. I am thinking of getting a historic log book for my 6 for circuit racing down here. To be eligible for the earlier group a car can be a run on model of something "manufactured" before 31 December 1969. That category is basically 2 litre porsches and 105 alfas.
The rule makers say the 6 is elgible for the later category, commencing with cars manufactured after 1 Jan 70, but remarkably list the 4 in the earlier category. I suspect that is because the rule makers down here dont have a clue about 914's. So, does anyone have any information which would convince some illogical dickhead rule maker? Gustl?? Cheers, |

My neighbor has #138, I know I looked at his Compliance Sticker for someone else (Owner of #137), so I will have to look again

It's an early January '70 build. Wish there were more build dates listed for the /6's, but the stickers were only on US spec cars. Given what Andy posted above, it would be fair to say the first 100 production /6's (give or take) were built in '69 and it seems half were built for the US market,.... the remainder for Europe and the world.
