I'm going to look at a guys speedster (kit car) today as he wants an engine. He has a 2.2 that he was going to install, but is scrapping that plan, as he can get me to build him a T1 and be driving it in about 4-6 weeks. (I quoted him the price on a T4 conversion but it's too much $ for him.)
I know nothing about it, I "think" it has webers. I know the hp ratings of the different 2.2's but how do I tell if it's a S, etc. It was out of a running 911. What are these engines worth? Would it be worth doing? What questions about it should I ask? etc. |

QUOTE(Eric_Shea @ Apr 10 2004, 07:25 AM) MFI can be fit into a 914 but it's very tight from what I understand. The trunk divide leave little room if any for pump adjustment. you pretty much MUST cut an access port in the firewall. you -might- be able to hit the 'part throttle' adjustment from inside the engine room. the idle adjustment is made with an 18" long very skinny socket inserted -through- the cooling fan. |
