I have purchased a bunch of parts from someone local. In the deal was a transmission. I was told it was from a 914, but it doesn't look like any 914 transmission I have ever seen. The mount ears aren't cast in like I am used to seeing. It is a tailshifter, that much I do know.
The cast in numbers are as follows. 901.301.101.0R on top... and on the bottom 90270 and 3080004 I can't find much on it. Can you tell me what the numbers are, and what this trans came from? Thanks. |

That's a type 902/02 aluminum 4 speed from a 911 or 912, or at least it was when it was new. A lot of these parts interchange. I usually build 911 race boxes out of 914 housings because 914s don't have enough horsepower to hurt it.
