I noticed a really nice replacement idea on Chris Foley's website.
Using a hole saw you can remove the threaded bung (with the broken bolt inside) and weld in a new replacement bung... Having drilled out two broken bolts from a friends car I can honsetly say I would never try that again... They are hardened bolts and you need to get cobalt drill bits to get them out, plus you need to build a centering tool so you can get in far enough, and in the center to drill them out. Rich |
