I was in the process of polishing my brass Weber carb bits (I know, I know) when the buffing wheel caught the last piece I was polising and sent it somewhere into orbit. Man, not even a sound to track it by...
The carbs are Weber 40 IDA3C 's and the part I lost is number 55 on a Weber diagram - it is the progression port slotted screw and looks like this: (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/i954.photobucket.com-11663-1309043911.1.jpg) If anyone happens to have an extra one they would be willing to donate or sell it would be much appreciated. Any leads on buying a new one would be great also. Thanks |

I just got off the phone with Paul at Performance Oriented who was a HUGE help.
http://www.performanceoriented.com/ At first he turned me onto a source for Weber parts that no one would be able to find through any ordinary internet search. The company is called Your Oil - go figure? Anyhow, they have a GREAT selection of 40 IDA parts, including the part I was looking for. Plus, their search engine is very simple to use. Check them out at: http://www.youroil.net But it gets better. After we spoke for a while Paul agreed to reassemble my now entirely disassembled carbs, then bench set them up including float levels, etc. Good price too.
