Ya that primer is fine. The paint, I used the Single Stage urethane, and I would recommend that, UNLESS the guy on the phone specifically recommended the enamel paint that you linked. I have never used enamel paint and from what I read it is a little harder to spray.
Here is the urethane. http://www.tcpglobal.com/restorationshop/i...SP+AU1805-KIT-M Buy the wax and grease remover as well. http://www.tcpglobal.com/restorationshop/I...=KUS%20KW901-QT Buy one of the little picks (below) I used it twice to pull a dust particle and then a hair out. http://www.tcpglobal.com/autobodydepot/ite...itemno=PRM+7437 And a tach cloth (you really only need one, Wax and grease the car, prior to all spraying, then right before you spray if your doing this in your garage then I recomend going it over once with a tach cloth right before you spray. ) http://www.tcpglobal.com/airbrushdepot/Ite...o=GER%20020008G If you can get your $ over 300 you should get 1/2 off shipping. Here's something to pick up if you are trying to up the cost to get the free shipping http://www.tcpglobal.com/autobodydepot/images/blox.jpg One thing to note, 1 gal of the primer will make 1.5 gallons sprayable. You can use this instead of the primer that you have been using. And you'll have 1.5 gals on sprayable with the paint as well, which is plenty to do 6 coats + coats on the body (I did 7). You'll probably use 1/2 of the paint on the body and the rest will be plenty for touchups and the trunks and jambs if/when you get to that. |
