I torn down the 2.0 just bought recently and was curious as to what these polished or machined bands on the pushrods are?

That's exactly where they should be, McMark! Thanks for the pics!

And, just to be clear, the TUBES do not rotate. The PUSHRODS do, and that's why they wear all the way around when the soft aluminum rod rubs on the hard steel spring.
