After finally getting up the nerve to drive my car hard like it should be driven (not that hard just shifting a 4k+ instead of 3k+) I have noticed that it looks like oil is "shooting" out of the oil pressure sending unit. There is some oil puddling around the shroud in this area and splattered on the bottoms of the various vac. hoses above. Are there any other likely suspects around this part of the engine? What would your plan of action be? I'm thinking remove the air cleaner, disconnect the sending unit, tighten it a little, clean the area and look for oil after a good spirited drive. Also the oil pressure light has never worked but I just figured that was a problem in the dash. Thanks as always for any advice you can offer. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

I would get a new oil pressure sending unit and a new sending unit rubber seal (you are missing the one that goes there) and install that.
The old units break inside and shoot out oil at full pressure... Rich |

Thanks. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) |
