Getty? No, it's a full dash from a 78 911SC. The engine started life as a NA 3.8L. Yes a space saver spare is fitted to the front. Would love to see some more detailed pictures of your space saving spare bracket! I'm going to do the same thing for my V8 car to try to ballast some weight forward in the car and retain rear trunk space. I see you have the tire mounted more towards the drivers side, any reason for that other than clearing your coolant resevoir? Does it affect airflow much, if at all? Did you have to remove the gas tank or did you just tack a bracket to that front wall? Any bracing? I mounted it to the side to make for more clearance around the cooling lines , fuel pump and filter. Along with the bracket I made a cradle to support the weight of the spare tire so it did not only hang by the bracket. The car was completely dis-assembled when I put in the bracket so the was no worries about a gas tank. So far I've had no problems with cooling. ![]() ![]() |
