Hi, anybody know on the gas tank when using carbs, do you block off the 5/16" line that has the baffle and use the 3/8" line that goes straight through? Do I get a cap to block it off, or just use a piece of fuel line and a bolt?
Thanks, Don |

Hi, screened port? I did not see a screen? Did you get cap at parts store? if you look inside your fuel tank with a flashlight you will see a screen/filter in there. thats the one you will use for your carbs. the other one can be capped off. i get my fittings from summit. except for the fuel tank fittings because summit doesnt carry them. this is a -6 cap for the tank fitting. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/AER-FBM3740/ for 15 dollars worth of fittings, i think its alot safer than a bolt and hose clamp. |

I used a flashlight and one port has a metal plate with a hole in it, the 5/16" one. And the other is wide open the 3/8" one, and you can see out the filler. But no screen. Do you know where I can get the screen? Thanks |

Check out the member vendor section here on 914World. http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showforum=4 If you haven't replaced the plastic line in the tunnel you may want to check out Chris Foley's site. You should consider replacing these lines. They are starting to age out and we have had several of our members loose their cars to fires. http://www.tangerineracing.com/stainlessFuelLines.htm He has a nice stainless steel line kit and also sells the filter screen. And if I didn't say it before.... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/welcome.png) |
