Anyone ever do this? Anyone got a line on headers that can be used on a tail dragger?

I thought about it for my 912. I was thinking of using the exhaust from a 411 and I was trying to see if I could adapt a bus mount to hold it up. I really didn't like the idea of using a couple long lengths of all-thread from the stock 912 mount location down to a 914 bar.
You shouldn't have this problem with a 356 since the hoop on the tranny holds everything up. Just slap a FAT fan shroud conversion on the sucker, get a header system fabbed, cut up some sheet metal, and you should be good to go. My father's old 356 race car ran a type 4 some 20 years ago. Gary Emory of Parts Obsolete now has the car, 'cept he put one of those neat little 4 cylinder 911 motors in there. |
