Hello,
This is a thread about late hours in my garage trying to get 1970 914-6 back to life.

There are already hundreds pics in here:

One question, what are these holes for? Spot welding?

Easier, yes. Cheaper? Not sure.

To change from the tail-shift to the side-shift setup, you not only need to change the transmission (or modify the tail-shift one), but you also need a complete later gear-shift linkage, including all of the rods and even the gear shift lever itself, plus the motor mount bar and all of the mounting hardware for that bar.

Except he has a factory 6 so the Motor Mount is not an issue!
