So I came across this while looking at another thread on Pelican. I've seen the scissor lift's before. I've been scrolling Craigslist for the last year or so for one. While in the other thread there was a link to Harbor freight. scissor lift With one of their 20% off coupons that get's it down to $800. That is very reasonable.
So my question is who has one? Can you pull your motor with one without interference? What are the pro's & cons of them? Old thread I am reviving as I finally am buying one |

Yes I have one and love it! Best chocie if you don't have the head room for a two post lift. No problem pulling the motor, only issue is clearing over the top of the lift. I bought mine from Greg Smith equipment in Indy. Its a 6000lb lift so I can put the truck on it also if I wanted to. Gets the car 45 inches in teh air, while I can't walk under I am able to use a rolling stool. Mine was about $1500 wit tax, sure wish I would have bough tthis sooner. I followed another members plans for making ramps and it works great. Here is my project car on my lift.
