CNN Money has a list of cars "you won't believe are collectible"... including, of course, our beloved.
http://money.cnn.com/galleries/2012/autos/...ble-cars/7.html QUOTE Value today: $35,000 Price when new: $6,000 Once viewed with disdain as a cheap Volkswagen dressed up in a very un-Porsche-like Porsche body, the 914 has gone on to earn a certain respect in its own right, especially 6-cylinder powered versions. It's now seen as a predecessor to today's Porsche Boxster and its odd flat-backed roof-line seems kind of funky. The writeup would be pretty accurate if it were just about /6's. But the photo... who else notices the oddity? (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/i2.cdn.turner.com-10752-1328498998.1.jpg) |

The fact its followed by the Pacer makes me ill. The Z, Landcruiser, corvair sure but the Pacer? The fact that the writer listed the Pacer shows he's not to knowlegable about AMC cars. The most collectable AMC is this one. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/i1210.photobucket.com-13764-1328658938.1.jpg) '68 AMX TWO SEATED |

The early AMXs have been considered collectible for quite a while now and I think the article was highlighting cars that are just now reaching that level. |

I was referring to 1968 cars that were contemporary to the AMX. Ah, okay, well that's different. Does this count? (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/i117.photobucket.com-12234-1328665224.1.jpg) |
