I went to HD and could not find the stuff noted above (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) ......... it may be NLA as the employees there could not even find the sku # in the HD computer (tried 2 HDs here in Southern Califonia). In such case;
I used 5034K18 from mc master carr and the material construction was perfect for this application. Nice interference fit onto the plastic drain nipples (no hose clamps needed) and it sealed perfectly into the factory grommets below. It also holds its cylindrical shape well as it has a 1/8" wall. IMO it looks cleaner and works better than what the factory used (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)!!! The finish is smooth and will not trap debris the way my factory corrugated versions did. Not for those OEM restorations though. 5034K18 Abrasion-Resistant Blk Neoprene Rubber Tubing 7/8" ID, 1-1/8" OD, 1/8" Wall Thk http://www.mcmaster.com/#catalog/118/140/=gsfrkc Note: O.D. of the 914 drain nipples was about .941" ........... the mcmaster hose I.D. is .875" .......... makes for a nice snug clampless fit (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |
