I have an Racemark steeering wheel , the leather is shot and seems to be bubbling something from inside out.
So I attaked it with a band saw. Strange inards, U shaped steel channel ,rivetted to the spokes and then coated with a rubber like goo.

^^ I think the center tri-spoke was aluminum too, welded together (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
