This bill was extended for reconsideration in the latter part of April. Has anyone been following this or heard if its been voted on again? Would likely change the value of '76 cars here in CA...in a good way.

Good luck with getting Bar-bore-a Boxer-shorts, or Dianne Frankenstein to even read your messages. Their staffs filter through everything and round-file anything that doesn't go along with their 'progressive' agendas (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) Over the years, I've penned sincere, concerned letters to both of them on quite a few issues, with nary a receipt notification from either one. Those same letters were read and responded to by 'the other white meat', no problem. I thought that 'elected officials' were supposed to represent all constituents, not just their lap dogs and campaign supporters. No, I really didn't expect either BB or DF to respond, let alone with any intelligent debate. [/end rant] |

They don't vote on stuff on the state level. Find out who your state senators and reps. are and write them an email, snail mail, etc. I got a letter from my state rep. saying the bill was still being discussed in the transportation committee and not up for vote yet. That was some time ago and I haven't heard much about it since. I don't think it has a chance. Anyone who votes for it will be immediately pounced upon by his or her opponent as being AGAINST clean air. Our cowardly state reps. don't vote for or against to improve life in California, all they're interested in is getting re-elected. Whoa! This almost sounds like a political post. ... Boxer and Fienstein are US Senators. They don't vote on stuff on the state level. ... You're absolutely correct, but my one-way correspondence with those two wasn't concerning state senate bills. My rant was more about political polarization and what seems to be non-representation (and yes, I know it runs rampant in both parties) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/pray.gif) You are a Master Debater (IMG:style_emoticons/default/poke.gif) |
