My super straight 62k mile, nearly rust free car turned out to have been in an accident and it's not the unmolsted car I thought it was.
I'm now considering flares and possible a color change. The car is originally black and my body guys insist that it will be super straight again (no matter what it costs me). Anyway...what is the general opionon on changing the car from its original black? I love yellow, my 1st 914 was signal orange and I like that a lot. My current cars are Black (Avalanche), Black (CTS), yellow (Z06) and yellow with black stripes (69 Camaro) There are other cool colors like Saturn Yellow (that's more a green). Opinons welcome... I had the same quandary when I was left with a blank canvass on my '74 2.0 restoration. I have a preference for the 50's / 60's 356/911 colors; i.e. sand beige. I ended up with a color I won't see pass me by often; auratium green. Google "auratium green Porsche" and you'll see the color. I was told it was only ordered on a few Speedsters. (Some may say, "Thank God!") Color selection, being quite subjective, will result in a wide range of opinions. Pick what YOU like!
