Looking at my first 914 purchase, may look at a '76 model (see link)...any pro-cons to the '76 models?

I did see that car prior to the body work, there was some serious rust on the drivers front fender down by where it meet the drivers door. bubling from behind, so I would look carefully around the windshield and underneath the front by the blower motor ect. The owner/sales dude was less than friendly when I was looking at the car a month ago, but claimed he has owned dozen's of 914's over the years, blah blah blah. I do know of one other person who bought a 914 from him 10 years ago, supposedly with only 14k orig miles... I have seen the car and would question that claim.
