PO relocated my 74 3-port fuel pump to the rear fire wall to the right of the the speedo cable, fuel lines, flapper wires, etc.

I've got the fuel tank out to replace the fuel lines with SS ones now, but I don't want to relocate the fuel pump up front if I don't have to (don't like it being below the steering rack). Is this location far enough away from the HE's to avoid problems?

You may create problems with the pump there. The factory relocated the pump up front to help eliminate vapor lock. The SS lines will conduct heat much better than the old plastic lines, thus causing vapor lock. Many have relocated to the front trunk. It's easy to get to there.

If you don't want to move it, leave it there and see what happens. You can always relocate it later.

Thought I read somewhere on World that the HE dump from the passenger flapper box on the pump in the stock location caused the vapor lock issue - so in this position is it enough to get it out of the flapper box discharge air stream?

I may leave it here for now, but pull a spare fuel pump wire up to the front while I'm pulling the SS lines.
