PO relocated my 74 3-port fuel pump to the rear fire wall to the right of the the speedo cable, fuel lines, flapper wires, etc.

I've got the fuel tank out to replace the fuel lines with SS ones now, but I don't want to relocate the fuel pump up front if I don't have to (don't like it being below the steering rack). Is this location far enough away from the HE's to avoid problems?

It's really not that much work moving it to the front. You went this far, why not alittle further? You'll most likely never have a vapor lock issue with the pump, being where its at now. It's just a peace of mind issue for me, if it was my car.

Had it up front on my last car and didn't like how it sat beneath the steering rack / how the hoses got routed through the hand hole.
