I am intending to make an engine/tranny dolly for my 74 1.8 to mount the power plant when I pull it. I also intend to use it as an engine test stand.
I intend to make it from square tube steel and to run on castors. I need the following dimensions centre to centre engine mount holes across the body (front and rear) centre to centre engine mount holes length ways I would appreciate any help David |

is your engine carbed or fuel injected?
the later is far more work to run out of car. get a furniture dolly for $20 - entire engine and trans assy will fit on it nicely - then you can pull your dimensions from it so you can fab up something that will allow you to run engine with exhaust on it. see this http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?sho...p;hl=test+stand http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?sho...p;hl=test+stand http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?sho...c=96249&hl= http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?sho...c=81485&hl= jim |
