I am intending to make an engine/tranny dolly for my 74 1.8 to mount the power plant when I pull it. I also intend to use it as an engine test stand.
I intend to make it from square tube steel and to run on castors. I need the following dimensions centre to centre engine mount holes across the body (front and rear) centre to centre engine mount holes length ways I would appreciate any help David |

This is how I did it. Super simple. All made from scrap. Roll it under the car, jack up the engine, DONE. And you can run the engine on it too. http://www.flickr.com/photos/vacca_rabite/...in/set-1537526/ first run in 2008. Horrible video quality, but you get the idea. Zach |
