How long can you take to finish a restoration? There's only two ways to restore a 914: 1. Do it right the first time and spend a lot of time and money to get every last bit the way you want. This can easily take 5 years or more. 2. Do it somewhat quicker by cutting corners. When you're done, you'll enjoy the car for some time but all the while you'll have that nagging feeling that you didn't do it right the first time so eventually you'll end up doing it all over again.
