I traced it down and see that it joins up with a second wire fed down through the engine tin. This is an A/C car and it's currently disconnected, judging by the size of the wire and the inline relay, I'll bet it has something to do with that. Thanks for the effort, I thought that I was on to something bigger....if it isn't that, as Arnold would say, I'll be bak! You are correct. It's for the A/C Unit. |

Thanks dlee, at least I won't have to hunt for those wires when I put the a/c back in service next spring! I would suspect that those are the trigger wires for the compressor, I have a bit of research to do this winter on which parts I'll use for the new system, originally a VPC unit. I've been saving up lots of info and suggestions from the "Garage" prior posts. And thanks to all others for the suggestions. I showed this forum to a friend that owns an old Mercedes , he couldn't believe the camaraderie and quick responses to technical issues of other members (other than the battle going on with the dude and his "first look at a 914" post (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lol-2.gif) ) |
