Do you have to remove all the cables and electrical to have the heater controls come out, or can you push all the leavers and the mount back inward. I have the face place off, but now its time to get the bulk of it out. Any tips or tricks? Its a 1970 914-4 BTW

Its about a 7 on the difficulty scale, anyway you look at its a Bitch!
Remove the electrical. A 10mm nut mounts the back of the control frame to the bulkhead. Then you have to loosen two 8mm clamp bolts to free the three cables. last the cables have a dogleg in each end that secures it in each lever arm. All of this either on your back or in very tight quarters. |
