Hi,
I getting ready to start a 5-lug conversion on my 914 and had a quick question about the differences between 911 and 914 A-arms. One of the a-arms I have on my '85 Carrera suspsension looks like it was used to jack the car up and the area near the rear bearing is bent over slightly. Can I just pull the torsion bars out and use the 911 cross member and front mounts on the car with the old 914 arms and Carrera parts? I know the 914 arms have tabs for a through the body sway bar but are the arms interchangable or are there other differences? Thanks, datapace |

911 arms are more expensive, but were made of a snootier metal. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/pray.gif)
911 arms don't put their elbows on the table. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/monkeydance.gif) 911 arms were installed on God's gift_to_God's gift to women. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool_shades.gif) 911 arms cannot be mounted to the rear axle of a Ford Escort. (euro only) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sawzall-smiley.gif) 911 arms don't wave about wildly, when stranded on a deserted island, and a helicopter flys over. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) 911 arms are short, but they can knock out Mike Tyson. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/spank.gif) 911 arms don't grow on 911 trees, contrary to popular 911 lore. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/chatsmiley.gif) 911 arms should not be used as floatation devices, but can if you are also floating on Marlon Brando. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/pissoff.gif) 911 arms throw a mean fastball.... NOT! :finger2: Your mother won't hit you for sticking your 911 arms out of the window, while the car is in motion. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif) You'd have to be a 2' 9" ape, if you wanted to drag your knuckles, and had 911 arms. uhoh.. here Pammy.. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/monkeydance.gif) 911 arms were discovered by a famous movie star, Manny Chevetts, who was also a known 'drinker'. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/monkeydance.gif) There is a place where they send 911s that have lost their arms, and teach them to slide into the turns. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif) 9+1+1=11. If you divide 9 by 11, you get 0.81818181 infinity.. Infinity.. like the chubby you get when you rub your nether regions on a 911 arm. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) That's right! 911 arms are all around us! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) Only you can prevent 911 arms. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) M |
