Since i dont drive in the rain i took out the rain tray. I thought it might cool down the engine. Any thoughts on this... cooler? or does it screw up the air flow to the engine compartment?

Are your engine temps too high? If not I'd leave it alone under the heading of "if it ain't broke don't fix it".
I don't have one ('cause it's a six) and occasionally I have to cover the engine compartment if I think it's gonna rain while I'm parked. No big deal right? PITA when it's wet and I have to store it in the trunk with other stuff. Mine's a daily driver so I have to deal with that more often than you do, but you'll get caught at some point, and have to dry out the hell-hole when it happens. In the south, that's fairly often with a DD. Good luck |
