Getting real close to getting her back on the road after hell hole repair, tranny rebuild, oil leak elimination (dang, almost got em all..) and now I'm thinking about the winter project being (or not) swapping to earlier bumpers.
I have a nice set in the garage, I just need lights and grilles. Am I (IMG:style_emoticons/default/screwy.gif) to do either? Of course there's other reasons why I qualify, but we'll stick with the bumpers fer now... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif) Thanks |

I will be backdating mine soon. My car is in very good condition and with a little work, could probably fair well in survivor class at a local show. However, it was born a '75 1.8, and thus will most likely never be more valuable to someone else than it is to me. I have already backdated the exhaust, and when I have the time and a little coin, I will be putting either a 2056 or a six in it. 5 lugs and Fuchs are coming too.
Bottom line, I am never going to sell it unless something devastating happens, so I may as well make it what I want, rather than what some folks think that it should remain. Besides, I can always put the BUBs back on if I want a change. |
