I am at the point of checking end play on the Crank.
When I first put the case together there was plenty of end play. Now there is not very much. Is this normal as pistons and cylinders are added things tighten up? when I push the flywheel in I set the dial indicator to 0 and then grab the fly wheel and pull it back. I get a .006" while pulling but when I let go it settles at.005". What is the correct measuring point under pressure or relaxed? Should the flywheel just be pulled by hand or pried lightly with screw driver? |

Hit with a RUBBER mallet on the other end.
Read it at the max movement, use three shims, no more, no less to make it work. |
