Good luck. I've had about 5 patients that have had similar procedures done. None have had any nerve damage but the possiblity exists. Actually, that can happen from an injection and happens relatively frequently with wisdom tooth removal. The point is that there are risks with everything. We have to tell people all of the potential complications even thought they do not happen often. Things will be fine. Follow the surgeons instructions. Even if you feel great take it easy (you won't swell as much) and take your meds. Pain meds work best if you use them on schedule, and they don't have start all over again killing a lot of pain. Fruit smoothies. Also some of the body building drinks will get you lots of calories. The patients I have had do that surgery have had dramatic results and love their new look.
