I remember in junior high school, in a P.E. class, a group of us were playing touch football. One guy was going long for a pass with a defender close behind. The pass was out of bounds, but they kept going. The reciever touched the ball and the defender gave him a tag-push right into a pole next to the field. Major impact. Broken jaw, but no concussion. Lots of blood from oral lacerations. He came back to school a few days later with his jaw wired shut. That was a big event for everyone in that class! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)
Good luck to everyone planning on having their jaws broken this year. The kidney stone and subsequent removal by scope this past spring was enough medical excitement for me this year! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) |
