Hello,
I'm considering a set of polished cookie cutter wheels (I love the looks of them and they're not that common) and was wondering if I would be better off playing it safe getting a 6 inch set, or will a 7 inch set work? My car does NOT have flaired fenders and I'm not considering putting them on in the near future. How much backspacing room do I have in there? I'll check to see what the backspacing is on the wheels. Thanks for any info... |

Could be... But also, on the later cars the rear fender lip was shorter and didn't poke into the wheel wells as far.
I think you should get 6" ones just to be on the safe side. 7s are very "iffy", and depend on the exact amount of backspacing of the wheel and on the particular 914's construction. ...Heck, fitting 205s on 5.5" wide rims under stock fenders is by no means a guarantee! --DD |
