Just got Jake Rabys video today. Havent had a chance to watch it yet but I have a question regarding its relationship to the 2.o 914 motor. The info. on the tape indicates that it applies to the bug, ghia, thing and early (up to '71) bus. The question is "Are all of the motors basically the same internally other than displacement?" Don't forget to get a copy of Tom Wilson's book "How to Rebuild Your Volkswagen Air Cooled Engine". It also hits on 914 aspects and is a good and detailed reference.

I got mine from Amazon and it arrived in two days.

I am also excited that Jake was kind enough to help me out with a Cam and Gear and Type 1 Oil Pump. I can' wait to get them.

My heads, case, crank, etc are also progressing at a good Porsche shop. I should be able to start assembly in about 2 weeks. I will be posting pictures as I progress. Feel free to make comments...please!

Peter
