Just pulled the plugs after 1500 miles on a rebuild and they are all evenly black. Can I adjust the screw on the control unit to lean it up a bit and if so which way and by how much? Thanks once again. Richard

1500 miles on a rebuild.
Have you done a leakdown test to see if your rings are seated properly? How many times have you adjusted your valves in the past 1500 miles? Rich |

We will do another valve adjust in 1500 miles. But I am thinking I will fix my electrical issues next as there seems to be a body of opinion that poor functioning battery/alternator issues may affect the D Jet? The little car has a bad earth leak. So battery is in good nick but is dead after about three days sitting but ok if used every day. Weird thing is when I shut down after a drive there sound like there is something running behind the radio somewhere. Like a whirring sound of a very small fan or similar. So I have a really good sparky looking at it tomorrow. Also did a rough check on my mpg and in US numbers seems like about 22mpg. Not good. Thanks for the help . Richard |
