Just looked at a realy nice sc targa, great shape, low miles, and beginning to think about selling the 914....it'll cost me an extra 6k or so, but is it worth it?
the 914 has been so good to me, reliable as hell, and cheap to own and run... what'd would you all do? |

Nice 911's are dime a dozen (meaning they are plentiful). You can always find a nice 911. So I would never sell my 914 to buy a 911. I've had two 911's over the years. A signal orange '70 911-S (30,000 original miles when I sold it) and a white '85 carrera (7,000 miles on it when I sold it) and they were great, fun cars but for some reason I keep going back to the 914. Maybe because my first Porsche was a 914. I will probably have another 911 some day. But I will never be without a 914. I've owned a 914 for 31 straight years now and they still make me smile......
By the way, a 914-6 will give you the best of both worlds. |
