I missed out on scoring a 2.0 flat six with carbs and trans (out of a 67 911 targa) that a guy was selling for $1,500.00 but got some wheels as a consolation prize. The seller owned a body shop and said that the car was just too rusty to save. I'm trying not to think about what his idea of too rusty might have been.

Anyway, when I got to the shop the engine was sitting there and as I approached with interest the guy that had beaten me there quickly closed the deal. He seemed like a man of means and knowledge so the engine probably ended up in good hands.

I didn't leave empty handed though.

After educating myself a little, I believe I have 3 real Fuchs 6x15 Flats and 1 Questionable "Deep Six"

Note that it does have the "heart" but its hard to see in this picture

Any thoughts on Real or Reproduction here?

I'm hoping to get another Flat 6x15 and have a set that I can use on my car at some point later on down the road.

I can't make out any markings on the inside of the paddles. Its still kind of dirty but I'm pretty sure there is nothing there.
