(IMG:style_emoticons/default/evilgrin.gif) yep, I'm back. Issue #2 with my 914/6. I just installed the 901, just rebuilt by the very excellent Dr. Evil. Drove it home and the gears work great. However, I am getting a small "whirring" noise while driving, that goes away completely when the clutch is engaged.
Any ideas on the cause of the noise? M (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) Thanks World. |

Number 8 in the dia. Make sure when the clutch is not depressed- the bearing is not spinning.
Did you use a synthetic gear oil? (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/c767504.r4.cf2.rackcdn.com-13632-1395400049.1.gif) |
