(IMG:style_emoticons/default/evilgrin.gif) yep, I'm back. Issue #2 with my 914/6. I just installed the 901, just rebuilt by the very excellent Dr. Evil. Drove it home and the gears work great. However, I am getting a small "whirring" noise while driving, that goes away completely when the clutch is engaged.
Any ideas on the cause of the noise? M (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) Thanks World. |

Just to be clear, I did the stack rebuild only so pinion depth was not set by me (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
But, I still think it is the TOB most likely. |

Ahhh, that is correct...which is why I was leaning to the pinion depth....if it could be messed up on my end...that is probably what happened. I will drive it a bit to see if it sets in and goes away. |
