Car Alarm. The chip (LM2902) is dated 9248 (48th week of 1992).... The rubber band looking thing is probably a vibration sensor.

Car Alarm. The chip (LM2902) is dated 9248 (48th week of 1992).... The rubber band looking thing is probably a vibration sensor. I doubt it is an alarm. There aren't enough connections. Car alarms have lots of pins typically on a header to sense and control things. Plus the LM2902 is an op amp, a simple amplifier, not any sort of microcontroller. I'm with dangrouche in that it is just the motion sensor for alarm that is/was somewhere else. --- bill |
