This is my first time under the car (and the first time under a 914 or even a VW) so I could use a little help identifying some things.
(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/i237.photobucket.com-17475-1403419060.1.jpg) There is an unattached cable on the right side. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/i237.photobucket.com-17475-1403419060.2.jpg) There is also another unattached cable above the shifter. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/i237.photobucket.com-17475-1403419060.3.jpg) The car has an ANSA exhaust. I'm not sure if these two pieces are suppose to meet. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/i237.photobucket.com-17475-1403419060.4.jpg) I wonder if this hole should have something attached to it? |

That big tube in your last picture is the warm air path to your passenger compartment.
So lingering exhaust gases could get sucked in. In the short term just close them up with duct tape. If you'd like, I could stop by after lunch today. |
