Hi all...getting ready to install turbo tie rods and I'm trying to remove the old tie rods.
I have the outer end disconnected from the spindle and I'm trying to remove the tie rod and inner end together. This is easier said than done. Pelican article says to use the tie rod as a lever to loosen the inner end from the rack. Problem is that the worn inner bushing absorbs all the torque and the tie rod hits the body and has no where to go. What am I missing here?? Mike |

Bruce...I'm having a hard time envisioning this. I need to remove the boot from the rack? Pull the boot back on the outer end or pull it all the way down the tie rod. This is what it looks like. I have this one unscrewed part way Attached thumbnail(s) |
