Not sure what I will do with it yet, maybe a good project to to practice my welding skills.

My second attempt to get it started was unsuccessful again.
After changing all the fuel lines , no go. I check for fuel and pressure.... Pass Check vacuum lines from the plenum .......cracked- replaced Still no go Upon further diagnostic , I noticed that the trigger points were not connected from the ECU. One of the injectors grounds behind the engine was out of the spade. ( PO said that it was running on 3 cylinders and papers found in the car shows that he was shopping for a replacement motor) hopefully that was it.. I check the points and and there was no ground when the distributor spins ( bad point) I corrected all of the above and replaced the points. Since it was a bit late and I didn't wAnt to piss off the neighbors I left it as that. I didn't crank it. .... I think I have a good shot at getting it started tomorrow. Next on my list is compression test. |
